Blog October 2016

Monday 3rd October 2016

Everyone arrived safely and were raring to go.  Although some struggled to make their beds, after a little perseverance, they got there in the end!  With no time to waste, the children got dressed into their waterproofs, wellies and helmets and set off for an adventure walk.  They had a lot of fun getting muddy and wet.

They are all now back at base and preparing for dinner.  The evening activty is about tackling problem solving in small groups.

The class was split into two groups today; one group went caving and the other went canoeing. Both groups ended up very wet!  This hasn't dampened spirits though and they returned to fuel up at dinner time, followed by a scavenger hunt this evening.  Miss Kidd assures me that the children are eating well and enjoying the food on offer.

Another fantastic day filled with lots of fun and challenges. Canoeing and caving and very wet children (some accidentally and some on purpose) but smiles all round. More mud and water this evening. Everyone is having a great time.

Thursday 6th October 2016

The weather has continued to be kind, with another fabulous day being had by all. Everyone went rock climbing, with lots of children conquering their fear of heights.  There was excellent team work shown by both groups.

The children are orienteering in the dark this evening with the help of their torches. They have a busy evening ahead as they will need to pack this evening too.  The children are bursting to tell everything about their adventures.  Tomorrow brings gorge walking before returning to school later in the day.

Look out for texts about arrival times.
