Curriculum
At Peatmoor Primary School, our curriculum is designed to inspire a love of learning, nurture curiosity, and help every child achieve their full potential. In Key Stages 1 and 2, we follow the National Curriculum to provide children with a broad, balanced, and engaging education that builds knowledge, skills, and confidence across all subjects.
In the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we follow the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage, alongside the guidance set out in Development Matters. Our early years curriculum supports children to learn through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences, helping them to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our curriculum intent is to create ambitious, inclusive, and enriching learning opportunities that prepare children for the next stage of their education and for life beyond the classroom.
Curriculum subjects are tailored to meaningfully link to our topic based approach to learning. We make changes and adapt the curriculum according to the local context and the needs of the pupils when appropriate.
