School Meals

We run our own school kitchen, where Mrs S. Buckle and Miss G. Hyner prepare freshly cooked meals each day.

Food Hygiene Rating

Our school kitchen holds a 5 – Very Good Food Hygiene Rating, awarded by the Food Standards Agency. This reflects the high standards of food preparation, cleanliness and safety maintained by our kitchen team

Reception & Key Stage 1

All children in Reception and Key Stage 1 are entitled to a free school meal. A meal will be prepared for every child daily. Parents are asked to select meals online at login.arbor.sc at least two weeks in advance.

Key Stage 2

The cost of a school meal is £2.80 per day or £14.00 per week, unless your child is entitled to free school meals. Meals should be ordered and paid for online at login.arbor.sc, also at least two weeks in advance.

If you would like to discuss free school meal eligibility in confidence, please contact the School Office.

Special Dietary Requirements

If your child has any dietary needs or allergies, please speak to the SENDCo or a member of the Admin Team so we can ensure their needs are met.

Packed Lunches (Key Stage 2)

Children in Key Stage 2 may bring a packed lunch in a clearly named container.

  • Water is encouraged with all meals

  • Children may bring their own drink in a plastic bottle or carton

  • Fizzy drinks, sports drinks and glass containers are not permitted

We encourage children to drink water regularly throughout the day.

Lunchtime Supervision

Our team of Lunchtime Supervisors (Playleaders) care for the children during lunchtime. They work hard to keep children safe, happy and active, and always encourage good manners.

Mid‑Morning Snack

Reception & Key Stage 1

Children receive free fruit and vegetables each day as part of the Government scheme.

Key Stage 2

We run a tuck shop on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, or children may bring their own healthy snack daily.

Healthy snack suggestions:

  • Fruit

  • Cereal bar

  • Rice cake

  • Dried fruit

Not permitted: Fruit winders, sweets, biscuits, crisps (Unless required for special dietary needs)

Milk

  • Milk is free for children under five

  • For children aged five and over, milk is subsidised through the European School Milk Scheme

  • The scheme is run by Cool Milk, who invoice parents directly

For more information, visit www.coolmilk.com or contact the School Office.

Water Bottles

All children should bring a fresh bottle of water each day in a pull‑up stopper bottle. This allows children to drink throughout the day.

Please do not place water bottles inside book bags, as leaks can damage books and other items.
