Our School Day
The school day begins at 8.30am. Each morning, families are welcomed at the playground gates by a member of our Senior Leadership Team. Children then walk independently to their classroom doors, which open directly onto the playground, where a member of staff greets them and helps them settle in for the start of the school day.
The official school times are as follows:
INFANTS (Reception and Key Stage 1)
Session 1 8.30am – 10.00am
Playtime & Snack 10.00am – 10.15am Session 2 10.15am – 12.00 noon
Lunchtime 11.50 am – 1.00pm, Reception 11.55 am – 1.00 pm, Year 1 12 noon – 1.00 pm
Year 2 Session 3 1.00pm – 2.20pm
Playtime 2.20pm – 2.30pm
Session 4 2.30pm – 3.00pm
JUNIORS (Key Stage 2)
Session 1 8.30am – 10.15am
Playtime & Snack 10.15am – 10.30am
Session 2 10.30am – 12.00 noon
Lunchtime 12.00 noon – 1.00pm
Session 3 1.00pm – 3.00pm
The school day ends at 3.00pm.
At the end of the day, children are dismissed from their classroom doors onto the playground, where parents and carers should wait to collect them. This helps us ensure a safe and smooth handover for every child.
A school day lasts for 6.5 hours and the school week totals 32.5 hours a week
