FOPS
The Friends of Peatmoor Community Primary School is a registered charity and fundraising group made up of parents, carers, and school staff who are passionate about supporting the school community.
We are a friendly and welcoming team dedicated to raising funds for the extra resources and experiences that help enrich children’s learning and enjoyment at school.
Our success depends on the support of parents, families, and staff, and we are always grateful for any help people can offer — whether that’s volunteering a little time, helping at events, or simply attending and supporting activities with family and friends.
Throughout the year, we organise a range of fun community events including Summer and Autumn Fayres, fashion shows, discos, bingo sessions, and much more. These events are not only great fundraisers, but also a fantastic way for families to meet, socialise, and become part of the school community.
Since forming in 2000, Friends of Peatmoor has raised approximately £18,000 for the school. These funds have helped provide valuable additional resources and experiences for pupils, including:
- Interactive whiteboards
- Musical instruments
- Outdoor play equipment
- IT software
- Robolab resources
- Early years learning equipment, including Pixie Roamers
- Playground benches
- Christmas gifts for classrooms
- Year 6 leavers’ gifts
We usually meet once every half term from 3:00pm – 4:00pm in The Pod (the school reception area), or occasionally in the evening at The Woodlands Edge pub. Meeting dates are shared through the school newsletter, and everyone is very welcome to come along and get involved.
If you would like to support Friends of Peatmoor by attending meetings, helping at events, or volunteering in any way, please email FOPSChair2024@Outlook.com or speak to the school office.
