Academy Committee
Each academy within Grove Learning Trust has its own committee of local governors; this is called an Academy Committee.
Academy Committee governors are expected to champion and hold the school leadership team to account for its performance through effective support and challenge. They operate as one body, as a committee of the Board of Trustees, which is the trust's legal governing body. Each Academy Committee is accountable to the Board of Trustees directly and through the Board's committees - Standards, People & Culture (SPC) and Finance, Audit & Estates (FAU). The Academy Committee is drawn from members of staff, parents and co-opted members of the community and governors are appointed or elected after appropriate safer recruitment processes.

Joining the Academy Committee
If you feel you can contribute something to the school and are interested in joining the Academy Committee, on a voluntary basis, please contact the governance professional for more information. Minutes from the Academy Committee meetings are available on request.
